Mayday is a Finalist for Xero Emerging App Partner of the Year!

Last week, Xero announced the finalists for the annual Xero Partner awards. We’re thrilled that we at Mayday are finalists for the Emerging App Partner of the Year award. There are over 1,200 apps in the Xero ecosystem. To be one of three finalists is a prestigious achievement, one we’re immensely proud of.

The Emerging App Partner of the Year award recognises a new app partner that has made great progress with Xero in a short space of time. The winning app will have provided a great user experience and made an excellent start with engaging Xero’s customer base. It looks for apps that have delivered exceptional customer care and innovation.

The journey so far

Mayday launched on 20 April 2022 with our mission to mend month end for finance teams. We’ve started by focusing on the pain points of having multiple entities as a business. We’ve created Recharger to automate intercompany charges of costs and revenues between related entities and BRAG (bank reconciliation across the group) to enable the one-click matching of bank transactions in one group entity to the underlying bill or invoice in another.

It’s been an incredible first year. We’ve been called the “answer to a larger Xero user’s prayers”. Troy at SPM Assets talked about how “there's software we tolerate, software we appreciate, software we love, and then there's Mayday”. And we’re just getting going. We will be releasing Mayday Balancer this quarter, keeping your inter-company loan accounts in balance. Then we’ll move on to month end pain points that also affect single-entity businesses: revenue recognition, cost journals, and more. You can see the exciting roadmap in our product vision.
