RSGx is a $500 million-plus infrastructure services business operating across 13 legal entities. Its finance stack is built around a composable, best-fit SaaS approach rather than a single ERP, designed to support the needs of a fast-growing, project-based business.
The best-fit SaaS approach is grounded in systematic assessment of what the business really needs from its systems and where specialist tools can provide the best fit.
For much of FY26, the RSGx ‘Finance and Business Systems’ team was in an ERP assessment and deployment phase, designed to consolidate its business functions and systems into a single system of record. But after reassessing its requirements, the team made the decision to pause the rollout. Rather than forcing the business into a monolithic ERP, RSGx is now deliberately building around a best-fit SaaS model, using specialist tools to address specific capability gaps and its own integration layer to connect them where needed.
RSGx have had their techstack featured previously (here), but given they were recently named a finalist for both the Finance Team of the Year and Stack Transformation of the Year at the 2026 CFO Techstack Awards 🏆 the time was right to see how their stack has continued to evolve.

Xero for Core Accounting
Xero is the backbone of the finance function, managing the general ledger, AP, AR and bank feeds across all 13 entities.
Mayday for Month End & Intercompany
Mayday handles intercompany reconciliation and month-end automation across RSGx's Xero organisations. As the group has grown, it has helped make intercompany reconciliation materially lighter even as the number of entities and complexity have increased.
ApprovalMax for Financial Controls
ApprovalMax provides purchase and invoice approval workflows layered over Xero, helping RSGx maintain structured financial controls across the group.
KeyPay (by Employment Hero) for Payroll
KeyPay handles payroll processing and compliance, with payroll journals feeding into Xero.
Employment Hero for HR
Employment Hero is RSGx's core HRIS, supporting employee records, onboarding and leave and feeding People & Culture data into the broader stack.
Spotlight for Reporting & Forecasting
Spotlight provides management reporting, board packs and forecasting built on top of Xero data.
AssetAccountant for Fixed Assets
AssetAccountant provides a dedicated fixed asset register, depreciation management and lease management system, streamlining processes and replacing record keeping in manual spreadsheets.
dataSights & Power BI for Data and Reporting
dataSights acts as the central data lake, bringing together data from Xero, Procore, BQE Core and other systems. Power BI provides the visualisation layer over that data for operational and executive reporting.
Procore for Project Management
Procore is RSGx's project management system, with project-level financial information including timesheets, purchasing and budgets flowing into Finance.
BQE Core for Project Financials
BQE Core manages time, billing and project financials for Consulting Engineering, feeding timesheet and billing data into the wider finance stack.
OpsCentral for Integrations
OpsCentral is RSGx's in-house integration application layer, providing middleware applications to streamline information processing outside of best-fit SaaS (eliminating manual spreadsheets and ad-hoc cloud documents) and bridge interoperability gaps where native integration doesn't exist.
Claude for AI Support
Claude remains part of RSGx's finance stack, supporting the team with AI across selected finance tasks and workflows.
Pipedrive for CRM
Pipedrive manages leads and new business opportunities across the group. Feeds sales forecasts back into the finance stack for planning and reporting purposes.
